Beaches

Anse Chastanet

Anse Chastanet's 150 metres of dark, silvery sand is one of the best beaches on the South-west of the island. This is also the best snorkeling spot in St.Lucia, with a coral reef, teeming with fish just offshore. The drive to the beach, from the town of Soufriere can be a bit bumpy & steep but Water Taxis are also available, if you do not care for the drive.

Anse Cochon

Halfway down St.Lucia's West Coast, between Castries & Soufriere, this 200 meter long strip of dark sand, is a magical unspoiled spot, backed by jungle undergrowth. Here, one can enjoy the peace & beauty of the pristine bay and go snorkeling as well. This beach can be accessed either by boat or land.

Reduit Beach

Reduit Beach is the most popular Beach on the island, as it is located in Rodney Bay Village, a hub for tourists and is within close proximity of some of the Hotels. There is more than a mile of fine golden sand, with lovely views across the Bay. The beach is excellent for safe swimming and if you are so inclined, can participate in the Water Sports in the area. Nearby are bars & Restaurants, where one can enjoy some cold beers and munch on some snacks.

Pigeon Point

Pigeon Island National Park is home to The St.Lucia Jazz Festival held annually in May. On the southern side of Pigeon Island, just inside the entrance to The National Park, are two shaded, sheltered and extremely picturesque little strips of golden sand. One can swim & sunbathe, as there are loungers being rented for this purpose. Snacks & cold drinks are available for sale in the area.
